A regularly scheduled meeting of the West Fargo School Board, West Fargo Public School District #6, was held on May 26, 2026, at 6:00 PM at the District Support Center Boardroom, with President Patti Stedman presiding. Members present included Vice President Jessica Jackson and Directors Jim Jonas, Dan Schaeffer, and Jessica Jones. Directors Jon Erickson and Trisha Page were absent. Also present, representing the school district, were Assistant Superintendent of Secondary Curriculum and Instruction Vincent Williams, Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Curriculum and Instruction Rachael Agre, Human Resources Director Brittnee Nikle, Director of Technology Ed Mitchell, and Director of School Safety and Security Heather Leas. Superintendent Beth Slette, Business Manager Elizabeth Mackowick, and School Board Secretary Alicia Severson were absent.

Ms. Jackson moved, seconded by Mr. Schaeffer, to adopt the agenda as presented. The motion carried unanimously.

The Board received the annual co-curricular report from Logan Midthun, District Activities Director; James Moe, Sheyenne High School Activities Director; Aaron La Deaux, Horace High School Activities Director; and Justin Behm, West Fargo High School Activities Director.

There was no public participation.

There were no monitoring reports presented.

There were no board committee reports.

Mr. Jonas moved, seconded by Mr. Schaeffer, to authorize the change order on the South Elementary School project for soil decontamination representing an increase currently estimated to be up to $311,100, as presented. The motion carried unanimously.

Mr. Schaeffer moved, seconded by Dr. Jones, to approve the consent agenda. The consent agenda included approval of the regular meeting minutes from May 11, 2026; Human Resources actions including twenty-six new contracts and three resignations; contracts for professional services with YHR Partners ; award of bids for the upgrade of the classroom clock system at West Fargo High School; authorization for administration to solicit proposals for Construction Management at Risk Services for the ECSE Addition to Meadowlark Elementary School and the Multi-Purpose Room Addition to West Fargo High School; approval of the destruction of records; approval of invoices for AR write-offs and AP outstanding checks; and approval of the bills as presented. The motion carried unanimously.

During the superintendent’s report, updates and relevant information were shared with the Board.

During the president’s prerogative, President Stedman facilitated closing reflections and comments.

The regular business meeting adjourned at 6:52 PM .
